2-1-1 Big Bend is looking for community members to join the agency as Volunteer Hotline Counselors. Our hotlines provide counseling, information, and referrals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our services are often in high demand following the holidays. We are looking for empathetic individuals with strong communications skills. People who are bilingual (Spanish and/or Haitian Creole) are especially in demand. 2-1-1 Big Bend will hold two Orientation & Interview Sessions for prospective Volunteer Hotline Counselors. Dates and locations are: Tuesday, May 20th, 7pm at Tucker Hall room 209 on the FAMU campus Thursday, May 22nd, 7pm at the FSU Police Department Tuesday, May 27th, 6pm at the Leon County Public Library. 200 West Park Avenue Wednesday, May 28th , 1pm at the TCC Student Union No experience is necessary and full training is provided for free.
